I have been involved in the fitness industry since 2006 working my way from gym instructor to a fully qualified personal trainer. I have spent the last year creating a very successful GP referral scheme under the Stroud District Council's Healthy Lifetsyles project.

During the last year I have progressed my own knowledge and training and now offer corrective exercise and biomechanical screening to all clients. This includes managing back pain, improving performance and functionality of athletes as well as individuals with long term physical complaints. I currently hold a L4 status on REP's.

As a martial arts coach, I have been fortunate to compete at National and International level in both traditional and modern martial arts. This includes competing in China as a representative of the British Nan Shaolin team. As a San Shou (full contact kickboxing) competitor, I have fought in over 20 bouts as well as now progressing into Mixed Martial Arts, having won my first semi-professional fight in 2011

Alongside achieving my personal aspirations, I have coached several individuals to competition success in full contact, semi contact and traditional forms events.

My interest in health and fitness developed during my career in the British Army. During my military career I trained and mentored many individuals to achieve their goals under arduous and physically demanding circumstances. After winning the Commando Medal with the Royal Marines I trained soldiers for the tough All Arms Commando Course. I then went on to train the British Army’s potential platoon sergeants at the Infantry Battle School in the Brecon Beacons. During my time in the Army I boxed, competed in mountain endurance events, duathlon and cross country running.

Although I take the best aspects of what I learnt training people in the military I do not take a ‘boot camp’ style approach to your fitness requirements. Instead I take a considered approach, employing the latest training methods and practices. I make it my business to care about your fitness aspirations and ensure that you achieve your fitness goals.
